What is the value of these autoantibody markers?

This includes markers for the most common types of autoimmune responses, and include the ‘all-purpose’ anti-nuclear antibody (which screens for any autoimmune activity against any protein in the nucleus of the cell). While autoimmune activity is possible without a positive anti-nuclear antibody result, this remains the standard test to screen for such activity.
